Guild pages are the starting point
Every guild has a page with its schedule, openings, atmosphere, roster and its own application questions. Pages are kept honest by freshness: a guild has to confirm that it is still recruiting, and pages that go quiet are labelled as not confirmed recently and sort lower in the directory.
Your profile does the matching
Your profile records your class, roles, faction, availability, languages and the kind of guild you want. On every guild page you get a fit score with the reasons spelled out factor by factor: faction, openings, schedule, atmosphere, activities, language and realm type.
Facts that either side has not stated are left out of the score rather than guessed, so a thin profile gets a cautious “worth exploring” rather than a false “great fit”. A faction mismatch caps the score, because no amount of schedule overlap fixes that. Without an account you can still pick a class, faction and role on a guild page for a rough preview.
Applying
Applying takes a minute: your character, a short introduction, the guild’s own questions and a choice about whether to share your Discord handle with the recruiting team. The guild’s officers and recruiters get a notification, and the application opens a message thread.
You can have one open application per guild and you can withdraw it at any time while it is open.
The thread
Each application has one thread between you and the recruiting team. Either side can write. Messages are plain text, stay attached to the application, and are private to the two sides. Four suggested questions are offered to get the conversation going; they only fill in the box, and nothing is sent until you press send.
Each side can send up to thirty messages per application, which is plenty for a real conversation and enough to discourage spam. Unread messages show up in the Messages inbox and on the header badge.
Decisions
The team accepts or declines, with an optional note that you will see. If you are accepted and you are not yet in a guild, you are added to the roster, the guild’s Discord invite appears on your application, and the guild page shows you as a member from then on.
If you are declined, the thread stays readable so you can see the note, and you are free to apply elsewhere. Nothing about a declined application is shown to other guilds.
What recruiters see
Officers and recruiters see the applicant’s profile, the answers, the fit score with its reasons, the thread, and private notes that only the team can read. They can also invite players from the directory to apply, which sends a notification with a link to the guild page and a short note, and nothing else.
Blocking and reporting
Blocking someone stops messages and invites in both directions. Reporting a message sends it to the moderators, who can hide it and act on the account. Neither tells the other person who did it.
One guild at a time
An account can be a member of one guild at a time. That keeps rosters honest, keeps the “My guild” link meaningful, and keeps recruiters from reviewing the same player five times over. Leaving a guild is a roster action on the guild’s dashboard; once you are out, you can apply anywhere again.
