The spirit of it
These guidelines apply everywhere on this site: guild pages, profiles, applications, messages, the Inn and events. They are short on purpose. Be honest about who you are and what you offer, be decent to the people you deal with, and remember that a guild is a group of people who will spend their evenings together.
Be honest
Describe your guild or yourself accurately. Do not list openings you do not have, schedules you do not keep or progress you have not made. Do not use someone else’s screenshots, names or achievements as your own.
Honest pages get better applicants. The freshness labels and the fit score exist to reward guilds and players who keep their details true, and they punish nobody who does.
No harassment
No insults, threats, slurs, doxxing or sustained unwanted contact, in any part of the site, including application threads. Disagreeing with someone is fine; going after them is not. If someone asks you to stop, stop.
Use the block button when you need to; it cuts off messages and invites in both directions. Report the behaviour as well, so the moderators can act on the account rather than just the one conversation.
No spam, scams or real-money trading
No advertising of gold selling, paid boosting, account sales or anything that trades game items for real money. No links to phishing sites, malware or unrelated commercial products.
Do not post the same content repeatedly or across every category. One well-written post beats ten copies, and the rate limits are set so that ten copies is about where you run out of room.
Application conversations
An application thread is a conversation between a player and a guild’s recruiting team. Reply within a reasonable time, even if the answer is no. Decline politely; people remember how they were turned down long after they forget why.
Do not share what someone wrote in an application outside the guild’s officers, and do not use an application thread to recruit for a different guild. Applicants: one open application per guild is enough; message the team rather than applying again.
No impersonation
Do not claim to speak for a guild you are not an officer of, pretend to be another player, or present yourself as site staff, a Discord moderator or an employee of a game company.
Guild pages are created by their Guild Masters. If someone has made a page for your guild without permission, report it and the moderators will sort out who owns it.
Keep it appropriate
This is a community with players of many ages and backgrounds. Keep content suitable for a general audience: no sexual content, no gore, no hateful material. Character names and guild names that would be removed in the game will be removed here too.
Reporting
Every guild page, profile, Inn post, comment, event and application message has a report link. Reports go only to the moderators. Say what you saw and where; you do not need to argue the case, and the person you report is not told who reported them.
False reports made to harass someone are themselves a violation of these guidelines.
Enforcement
Moderators can hide content, suspend guild pages, suspend or ban accounts, and remove events or posts. Minor problems get a warning or a quiet fix. Harassment, scams and impersonation get a suspension or a ban on the first offence.
If you think a decision was wrong, ask a Recruitment Manager on Discord. Decisions are made and reviewed by people, not by a script, and people can be persuaded.
